Michael Jordan’s First Chicago Bulls Contract Sells for $57K

by | Aug 5, 2020 | Collectibles

On September 12, 1984, Michael Jordan signed his first ever contract with the Chicago Bulls. At a recent GottaHaveRockAndRoll charity auction, a photocopy of that exact contract sold for $57K USD.

Since the release of The Last Dance docu series earlier this year, Jordan memorabilia is selling off the charts at charity auction events. Goldin Auctions shared an extremely rare Chicago Bulls jersey worn by Jordan during the ‘97-‘98 Eastern Conference Finals. Christie’s and Stadium Goods auctioned a pair of 1984 Nike Air Ships with an expected price of $550,000 USD.

Although Jordan’s annual salary was not explicitly noted in the contract, the copy states MJ’s total contract length with the Bulls of seven years.
