Alabama Cornerback Ga’Quincy McKinstry Strikes Sponsorship Deal With Kool-Aid

by | Aug 19, 2021 | Food

Alabama freshman Ga’Quincy McKinstry is taking his nickname “Kool-Aid” to a whole new level.

The five-star recruit is already listed on the team’s official roster as “Kool-Aid McKinstry”. Now, the cornerback has reached a deal with the Kool-Aid brand itself. McKinstry took to Twitter to announce the new partnership.

“Sooooo does this mean I get to shout OH YEAH if I want when I walk into a new room?” read the cornerback’s tweet.

The partnership is far from the first we’ve seen since the Supreme Court ruled college athletes can profit from their name, image and likeness, but it definitely seems to be one of the better player-brand partnerships we’ve seen.

Fans will have the opportunity to watch Kool-Aid McKinstry in action when Alabama begins their football season September 4th against Miami.
