Leaks regarding the upcoming iPhone 13 were detailed in a video by EverythingApplePro this week. The youtuber discussed rumors from leaker Max Weinback which ranged from upgrades to the camera, MagSafe and a key innovation for the iPhone’s display.
Regarding the camera, new features such as an astro-photography mode are being reported. According to Weinback, Apple’s new mode will allow the night sky to be picked up in the background of images, clearly displaying stars and other fixtures. The leaker is also reporting the new iPhone will have ‘Portrait Video’ as well as an upgraded ultra-wide camera for better photo quality in low light conditions.
Apple will reportedly be addressing complaints regarding MagSafe with what is being called “MagSafe+”. The MagSafe+ is said to better secure accessories to the device than its predecessor.
The biggest news to come from the leaks however was an “always on” display. The rumored 120Hz LPTO (low-temperature polycrystalline oxide) display is said to mimic the lock screen’s look while only displaying select information such as battery percentage and the clock. It is possible the “always on” display may also be able to feature some select notifications as well.
While none of these rumors have been confirmed by Apple, leaks are becoming more prevalent for the company than they have been in year’s past. With so many Apple employees working remotely, the company has had less control over the information regarding their upcoming products.
These aren’t the only new developments surrounding the company to make headlines this year. Last month, we reported on Apple’s patent for a pair of augmented reality glasses. Read all about that here!
