Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Tajae Sharpe dropped his latest mixtape Overtime on Sunday. Released under his rap moniker SHOW, the tape features eleven tracks and clocks in at a total runtime of nearly thirty minutes.
“This is my third tape in three years. I’ve been working on the field, off the field,” Sharpe told ACT. “For the fans, they see a football player and they think we just play football 24/7. I think it’s cool when we get the chance to express a different side of us that they don’t get to see all the time.”
For Sharpe, a passion for rap began as a freshman at UMass Amherst. What started as playful freestyling in college has become a legitimate pursuit in the rap game with Sharpe now having his own music label GMRxBGEnt. Featured throughout the tape are several of Sharpe’s labelmates such as Heff, 2up, Cvrcc Weezy, and more.
Overtime is available to stream on all platforms now. Go listen to the tape and experience the raw talent displayed over it’s eleven tracks, you won’t regret it!
