Marvel Studios is keeping busy in 2021 with the recurring series of Black Panther officially starting production in Atlanta starting July 2021, lasting up to six months.
The leading cast includes Narcos: Mexico star Tenoch Huerta, Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, and Angela Bassett with Wright (T’Challa’s sister and tech genius Shuri) is rumored to be getting a prominent role. After the death of Chadwick Boseman who died after a private battle with colon cancer, Marvel has confirmed they won’t be using CGI to bring back Chadwick’s iconic role.
“No, there’s only one Chadwick and he’s not with us,” Marvel Studios Executive Vice President Vicotria Alonso said, according to The Wrap. “Our king, unfortunately, has died in real life, not just in fiction, and we are taking a little time to see how we return to history and what we do to honor this chapter of what has happened to us that was so unexpected, so painful, so terrible, really.”
One major rumor was that the sequel might also star Rihanna, who appears on the Google search results for the upcoming film.
