Crocs is continuing its aggressive marketing strategy of high-profile celebrity endorsements. Best known for their colorful foam clogs, the company is targeting sports fans with their latest move. On Thursday, Portland Trail Blazer CJ McCollum announced a partnership with the brand. The news comes following the company’s recent partnerships with music stars Justin Bieber and Post Malone.
McCollum joins Crocs as the brand’s only NBA endorsement. While it’s unclear whether we’ll see an exclusive CJ McCollum edition Croc shoe anytime soon, he’s making his passion for the brand known.
“Comfort is key for me and crocs are my go-to during my downtime,” McCollum posted to Instagram. “Make sure to go grab yourself a pair!”
The partnership between the NBA guard and the Australian shoe company is sure to turn some heads, but turning heads is nothing new for CJ McCollum. This season McCollum is averaging a career-high 24.3 points per game and sinking significantly more three-pointers than in years past. He’s a big part of the Trail Blazers’ success this season. It’s safe to assume he’ll play a big role in the future success of Crocs as well.
