Damian Lillard is using his time in the bubble wisely.
The 6’2 Trailblazer is making a statement both on and off the court during the NBA quarantine in Orlando.
Just hours after propelling the Trailblazers into the NBA playoffs, Lillard also known as his rap persona, Dame D.O.L.L.A celebrated the victory with the release of his newest mixtape Live From The Bubble.
Dame crafted the four song EP in his hotel room during the NBA’s mandatory quarantine.
Dame says despite the access to certain equipment, he got creative in the completion of his mixtape.
“I saw people saying that there would be complaints of him recording music, but I don’t have any speakers,” Lillard tells the Associated Press. “Everything is in the headphone speakers. I’m rapping out loud but not screaming to the top of my lungs. Nobody is going to hear me rapping.”
Live From the Bubble comes after an explosive week for Lillard on the court. After dropping a 51-and 61-point performance, Lillard was unanimously named Bubble MVP.
The Blazers face #1 seed-Los Angeles Lakers in a seven game series on Tuesday night.
