Eminem Shows Support For Joe Biden With “Lose Yourself”

by | Nov 3, 2020 | Entertainment

On Monday, Eminem showed his support for the Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden with the release of a new black-and-white official campaign advertisement displaying images of Americans living their daily lives and “Lose Yourself” playing in the background.

The 8 Mile rapper captioned his post “One opportunity… #Vote” with a montage featuring children, minorities, essential workers, and Biden and his campaign team making their way to an event. For someone who’s been wary about licensing his music in any way in the past, Eminem is showing how important this election is by marking this as the first time he’s licensed his music to be used in a political ad.

Unlike many rappers, Eminem has been using his platforms to be vocal in his opposition of President Donald Trump dating back to the 2017 BET Awards where he dedicated a freestyle diss to the current president.

“And any fan of mine who’s a supporter of his/I’m drawing in the sand a line/You’re either for or against,” he rapped in the five-minute diss. “And if you can’t decide who you like more in your split/ Or who you should stand beside/I’ll do it for you with this/F— you.”

Go out there and cast your post today, it’s clearly very important!
