F1 Racing Trading Cards Prices Are Skyrocketing

by | Jun 24, 2021 | Collectibles

Sports cards have been having a renaissance of their own over the past year. With many bored at home throughout the pandemic, collectors of all ages found themselves rediscovering their love for trading cards. With that new interest has come higher prices, and Formula 1 cards are no exception.

According to eBay, the value of specific Formula 1 trading cards have spiked recently. In particular Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen cards are becoming more sought after by collectors, resulting in prices you’d probably not expect for Formula 1.

While the cost of Formula 1 trading cards is still far lower than that of basketball or football cards- it still serves as evidence of the hype around sports cards at the moment. Just a few years ago, the value of Formula 1 cards was relatively dismal.

We’ve attached the list of the most expensive Formula 1 cars to sell over the past year on eBay below.

  • ●  2020 Topps Dynasty Formula 1 F1 Max Verstappen Autograph Patch Card- $6,150 USD
  • ●  Lewis Hamilton 2020 Chrome Formula 1 Orange Refractor- $7,700 USD
  • ●  2007-08 Pro 2.0 Formula 1 F1 Rookie Card Lewis Hamilton- $4,500 USD
  • ●  1984 Panini F1 Ayrton Senna Toleman-Hart TG183 Formula 1 Rookie Card- $3,000 USD
