It’s been a long time since most of us had the chance to see a new movie in theaters. Instead of catching new blockbusters in those comfortable stadium-style seats munching on overpriced popcorn, movie fans have grown used to watching the latest movies from home. The trend continues into 2021, as Warner Brothers will premier Godzilla vs. Kong on their HBO Max streaming service next month.
The film was originally scheduled for a November 2020 release but the studio pushed it’s release back due to the pandemic. Rather than continue to wait for a theatrical release it was decided a number of 2021 Warner Brothers films would be released. After months and month of anticipation and a date finally set – Warner Brothers and producing company Lionsgate released the final trailer this week.
From the producers of films like The Dark Knight, Jurassic World and Inception, Godzilla vs. Kong will focus on a battle between two of cinema’s most beloved monsters. Actors Alexander Skarsgård and Millie Bobby Brown star in the film which was shot in both Hawaii and Hong Kong.
The final trailer gave fans a look at the battle between the two legendary creatures. With Kong shackled to a warship and Godzilla attacking from beneath the ocean’s surface. We won’t give anything else away – but it looks like this is something movie fans won’t want to miss. Godzilla vs. Kong premieres on HBO Max March 26th.
With the movie premiering in a couple of months – theres still plenty of time to keep yourself entertained. Why not learn about other exciting upcoming films like Black Panther 2? Read our story on that here.
