by | Nov 19, 2020 | Music

It’s almost time to start betting on your favorite rapper as the day gets closer and closer for the highly anticipated Gucci Mane vs Jeezy rap battle on November 19th at 8 p.m. ET on Instagram and Apple Music.

Kicking off the popular battle series’ second season will be Atlanta-based rapper Gucci Mane, who is replacing T.I. in a last minute decision, and rapper Jeezy who’s dropping his newest album The Recession 2 this Friday. The two have had a years-long beef with one another transpiring into multiple diss tracks, death of one of Jeezy’s friends rapper Pookie Loc, and physical altercations turning this into one of the most long-standing wars between two rappers.

Jeezy reportedly expressed his desire to end the beef on T.I.’s podcast expediTIously and went on the Breakfast Club to ask Gucci Mane to take him on in a Verzuz battle. In the reveal Gucci called the battle between “Trap God vs Snow Cone” official, taking a jab at the rapper.

Days before the verzuz rap battle, Gucci has been taking his best jabs towards Jeezy through social media to hype up the world before it premieres. Fans share their disliking in seeing Gucci mock the killing of Jeezy’s friend with a meme showing a guy jumping towards someone in a courtroom. Gucci reposted the meme with the line “go dig ya partna up n**** I bet he can’t say s***” with his own laughing face emojis. This line is from Gucci’s 2012 track “Truth.”

Let us know your thoughts. Who do you think will win the Gucci Mane vs Jeezy verzuz battle?
