Kawhi Leonard’s long anticipated music-project Culture Jam (Vol. 1) has finally arrived. Across the tape’s seven tracks are the talents of some of hip hop’s biggest stars including Lil Uzi Vert, NLE Choppa and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
Leonard first teased the project back in May, releasing the project’s track “Everything Different” by NBA YoungBoy and Rod Wave as a single. “Waves” featuring Gunna and Polo G was also released as a single a couple of months later.
Tracks debuting with the project’s release include “No Thank You” by BlueBucksClan as well as “Gotta Have It” featuring Stefflon Don, Wale and Ty Dolla $ign. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Capella Gray’ are featured on the track “Bestie”, which has an accompanying visual that was uploaded to the project’s YouTube page.
Not only does the release of Culture Jam (Vol. 1) come as a benefit to hip hop fans, it also comes as a benefit to the Mamba and Mambacita Foundation. The charitable organization, which honors the memory of Kobe and Gigi Bryant through funding sports programming and underserved athletes, will receive a portion of the project’s profits.
With the release of Culture Jam, Kawhi Leonard has officially launched his musical career and proven his ability to bring together top-tier musical talent. Considering the project’s title includes “Vol. 1”, it’s safe to assume Kawhi has plans for more music in the future.
