Next to music, J.Cole’s main love is the game of basketball. In high school the rapper played two years of varsity ball and contributed to his college women’s team practices at his alma mater St. John’s. In February, Cole announced his endorsement deal with one of the world’s leading sports brands, PUMA. This week, fans can purchase the rapper’s first signature basketball shoe–The RS-Dreamer.
The RS-Dreamer has been spotted featuring two different colorways. The first, seen on PUMA athletes such as Skylar Diggins-Smith, Kyle Kuzma and Marvin Bagley lll. Each athlete rocked the black mesh upper with an orange, yellow, purple, and green multicolor RS foam on the bottom.
Back in February during All-Star Weekend in Chicago, J.Cole was seen rocking the RS Dreamer in a simple white and black colorway.
PUMA exec Adam Petrick describes the brand’s partnership with Cole. “Cole sits at the intersection of music and sport and represents everything that PUMA stands for as a brand,” says Petrick. “He’s going to be a key player in many of the things we do at PUMA moving forward.”
The RS- Dreamer releases July 31st on Puma.com and select retailers for $125 USD.
