Roc Nation’s School of Music, Sports & Entertainment are accepting applications this Fall.
Roc Nation teamed up with Long Island University Brooklyn to develop an institution that offers undergraduate degrees in music, music technology, sports management and entrepreneurship production.
Students will receive hands-on experience through internships and connect with guest artists and lectures.
Twenty-Five percent of incoming freshmen are expected to receive Roc Nation Hope Scholarships for need based first time freshman from New York.
In addition to undergraduate degrees, the institution will hold summer residential camps for high school students and Saturday programs for students aged 10-18 years old focusing on music and sports management.
LIU President Dr. Kimberly Cline says she is grateful to provide another resource of value to students. “We look forward to joining with Roc Nation to offer an unprecedented educational resource that opens up the entertainment and sports world to a new and eager generation,” says Cline. “Our proximity in and around New York City’s epicenter of music and sports clearly positions us to offer unparalleled experiential learning and access to professional opportunities that will launch students to success.”
