Kiefer Ravena, one of the Philippines’ biggest basketball stars, has become the latest athlete to join the Jordan Brand family. Ravena is the first Filipino athlete to have an endorsement deal with the brand.
“I feel like I’ve been welcomed with open arms. I still can’t believe it.,” Ravena said in a statement to the Jordan Brand, “I remember speaking to the brand about it last year. The news has been embraced by a lot of people around me. It’s amazing to be part of this incredible team of athletes.”
The most popular sport in the Philippines is basketball and Kiefer Ravena is one of the sport’s best. The 2nd overall pick in the 2017 PBA Draft, he has averaged 16.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game in his three seasons with the NLEX Road Warriors.
The Jordan Brand has been making a push in the Philippines in recent years. Last December, the brand opened its own dedicated store in Manila. With Ravena now a part of the brand, time will tell how the company continues its success in the region.
