2K has officially announced its last but certainly not least cover player for NBA 2K21: the late basketball legend, Kobe Bryant.
The game console company announced earlier today that Bryant will be featured posthumously on two covers for the special Mamba Forever edition.
Both covers highlight Bryant during different stages of his career.
This will be Bryant’s third cover for the game series. He appeared on the cover of 2K10 and 2K17 installments. In a 2016 press release, Bryant expressed gratitude for being featured on the game. He says, “It’s exciting to know my fans can continue to celebrate my lifelong career as a Los Angeles Laker in virtual form.
Alfie Brody, VP of global marketing for 2K said in a statement, “all three players represent different eras of the game of basketball. Damian Lillard dominates the court today, Zion Williamson is a standard bearer for the next generation of athletes and what more could be said about Kobe?”
