Lil Durk Honors King Von In “Backdoor” Music Video

by | Jan 7, 2021 | Music

Lil Durk sports the late rapper and friend King Von’s signature O’Block chain as he raps in his newest music video release for “Backdoor.” He also shared previous messages shared between the friends of Durk letting Von know that he was going to be wearing the chain for the music video, to which Von replied saying he’ll get it cleaned for him.

Directed by Jerry Production, the visuals show Lil Durk in his element rapping and counting his money while surrounded by friends. The touching tribute appears in the music video inspired by the deadly night. “Backdoor” is a cautionary tale of not staying dangerous at all times while staying ready for anything that might come your way.

The music video has already racked up over 3 million views since its release three days ago.

King Von died the morning of November 6th after an altercation early that morning outside of a nightclub in Atlanta. Reports indicate the rapper was reportedly hospitalized and there were also the deaths of three men involved. He had just released his third album Welcome to O-Block featuring fellow rappers Moneybagg Yo, Polo G, and Lil Durk. “MY TWIN GONE,” Durk wrote on Instagram following Von’s death. “I LOVE YOU BABY BRO.”
