Grammy-nominated hip hop artist Travis Scott is preparing to launch his own line of hard seltzer next month. Teaming up with alcohol giant Anheuser-Busch, the drink will be called ‘CACTI’, an agave spiked seltzer coming in three different flavors.
First announced by Travis in December of 2020, the beverages feature flashy colorful cans with the drink’s spikey logo. With a 7 percent ABV, the seltzer packs more booze per serving than competitors like White Claw and Truly, which feature an ABV of 5 percent.
A new video on Instagram features the rapper touring the bottling facility and personally tasting the three flavors: strawberry, lime and pineapple. In the video, Travis makes his opinion on the drink clear. “Best of the best right here,” he told the camera.
The drink is scheduled to go on sale March 15th. Typically Travis’s collaborations are on a short-term basis, such as his past partnership with fast-food chain McDonalds. This time however, it looks like Travis’s new venture will be a long term venture, with the benefit of Anheuser-Busch’s far reaching supply chain capabilities.
