As this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performer, The Weeknd is set to make a splash. Not only will he be singing on arguably music’s biggest stage, but he will be making history as he teams up with the National Football League (NFL), Bravado and Roc Nation to launch his own Super Bowl LV merch. Set to be the NFL’s largest product launch with a Super Bowl Halftime Show performer, fans across sports, music and fashion are excited to get their hands on the unique pieces.
Launching in three capsule collections, the collections features two Jeff Hamilton leather jackets in black and red. The jackets feature the singer’s signature XO logo on the front along with NFL and Jeff Hamilton patches on the sleeves.
Designer Warren Lotas made the collection’s T-shirts which feature The Weeknd with his bandaged face, a look he has been sporting for months now. The shirts are available in white and black prints.
Also a part of the collection, Wilson Football is releasing a limited edition Horween Essex leather football. The ball will be matte black and feature XO artwork and embossed logos.
If you are interested in purchasing pieces from the collection – be ready for some steep prices. The t-shirts are nearly a hundred dollars and the jacket is on sale for $1,200! Fans can purchase the merchandise online via the NFL Shop, The Weeknd’s website and Wilson’s website.
The Weeknd is coming off one of the best years of his career. In 2020, he won the award for favorite album at the AMAs. Now in 2021 he is starting off the year with a Super Bowl Halftime Show performance. It’s anyone’s guess what he accomplishes next.
