Triller, the popular music and video based social media app, is making waves with their latest announcement. The company has launched TrillerTV, a new service within the app offering users access to shows hosted by some of popular culture’s biggest stars.

The shows will be broadcast in a live format. Creators already on board to host series include DJ Khaled, Charli D’Amelio, Jennifer Lopez, 2 Chainz and more. Some athletes are working with the social media giant as well, with NBA player J.R. Smith set to receive his own series.

Ranging from topics like gaming, music and documentaries, the content available on TrillerTV will vary – but all episodes are to be released on a per-week basis in thirty minute segments. A workout show with 2 Chainz, morning routine show with DJ Khaled, and many more concepts announced by Triller suggest we can expect the content to act as a potential alternative to traditional cable programming.

Triller has been making moves to expand its presence amongst a consumer base obsessed with rival app TikTok. Recently, it sponsored and facilitated high-profile fights for boxer Mike Tyson and Youtuber Jake Paul. The app’s willingness to work directly with content creators continues with the announcement of TrillerTV.
